Hyderabad, August 08: In a shocking incident, the staff of a lodge discovered the body of the Principal of a B Tech college was discovered near the Central Bus Station, Afzalgunj on Saturday.
According to police, P Janakaiah (35) was the Principal of SRK B Tech College in Narayanapet in Mahabubnagar district.
Mr Janakaiah had come to Hyderabad on some official work on Thursday morning and booked a room in Sri Krishna Lodge opposite the CBS in Gowliguda.
According to hotel staff, he arrived on Thursday around at 9 am and was soon left for some work on that day. He returned back around at 11:30 am, went to his room and locked himself inside. He was not seen alive after that.
The lodge staff knocked on the door on Saturday at 9:30 am but did not get any response. Their suspicion was aroused due to the foul smell emanating from inside the room.
The lodge staff opened the door with the duplicate key where they found Janakaiah’s body lying on the bed in a decomposed state.
The staff informed the police who reached the spot and shifted body to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.
His body samples were sent for Forensic Sciences Laboratory due to the absence of any visible marks or injuries.
Meanwhile his family lodged a complaint on Friday morning with the police Narayanapet and Afzalgunj.
