TRAINE UR BODY THE HARD WAY

According to IDEA, the world’s membership organisation of 23,000 health and fitness influencers from 80 countries, there are 10 transitional healthy things you can do everyday that will help you get into shape that don’t involve breaking a sweat.

1. Switch from regular to diet soda, and pass on sugar-laden energy drinks.
2. Never skip breakfast.
3. Drink alcohol only on weekends, if at all.
4. Use olive oil instead of butter on bread or when cooking.
5. Chew your food slowly, and always sit down when you eat.
6. Substitute sweet potatoes or yams for white potatoes.
7. Always ask for salad dressing on the side.
8. Choose dairy products that are fat free or have one per cent fat content.
9. Ask restaurant servers to bring you half your meal and to put the other half in a doggie bag to take home.
10. Replace your regular dishes with smaller salad plates.
On August 4-8 in Los Angeles, California, IDEA 2010, the 26th annual IDEA World Fitness Convention, which is the largest and oldest trade event for fitness professionals, will take place.
Over 5,000 influential fitness and wellness professionals from 65 nations will participate in 350 sessions devoted to new fitness trends (Bollywood Step, Alphabics, Kranking) with highlight events including celebrity Mario Lopez, tennis star Andre Agassi and the US Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, MD. After this professional event, fitness trainers globally will be introducing new classes, techniques and products — like workouts using Kangoo Jumps.
